This Bush and Lane upright quarter sawn oak piano is a marvelous musical instrument as well as a beautiful piece of furniture. Bush and Lane made high end pianos in the golden era of piano making. The quarter sawn oak is outstanding. See pictures. The piano is in wonderful shape and so is the piano bench. Great piano benches are very hard to find!!!
We’ve had this piano for around 45 years. We purchased it from an antique dealer. There was a musician there playing the pianos. We asked him about this one. He played it and confirmed the sound was great and Bush and Lane to be a top piano making company. The dealer told us that the pads also had been redone. The keys are in original condition, not refurbished. They sold us on the quality of the piano and we could visually see it’s beauty. No one at my house plays the piano. We bought it for a piece of beautiful furniture and also because of the maker and quality. This piano was made in the very early 1900s in Chicago. We had it tuned about 15 years ago for a Christmas party. I wanted Christmas piano music. It needed very little tuning at that time. It has been in our air conditioned house for the last 45 years. Buyer must pick up in Boerne, Texas or arrange and pay for shipping. We have had really good luck with uShip going both ways. I hope the information below will help you to make a decision.
